About Nakiya

Nakiya didn’t take a direct path to coaching - she took the human one. Her early years were filled with the kinds of retail and service jobs that teach you how people really work: what motivates them, what scares them, and what helps them feel seen. After turning down the chance to run her own convenience store, she chose a different direction and returned to school as an adult. She earned her bachelor’s degree in 2012 with a major in Accounting and minors in Economics and Business Administration.

Her career unfolded in unexpected ways, eventually leading her into the corporate world and into the role she once dreamed of. She became a Certified Internal Auditor in 2020 and began managing her own audit team in 2021. What she loved most wasn’t the work itself - it was helping her team grow, build confidence, and thrive. That passion became the spark that led her to professional coaching. In 2024, she earned her Master Certified Professional Life Coach credential and then trained as a Positive Intelligence (PQ) Coach.

 

The PQ Operating System is now woven into everything she does - her coaching, her leadership, and her personal life. It has supported her through deep healing and expansion. As a self-identified neurodivergent woman, she finds joy in connecting with others who share that beautifully “neuro-spicy” experience.

 

Her identity and lived experiences are central to who she is as a coach. Born in the early 80s, she came out as a lesbian in 1999 and later embraced her polyamorous orientation in 2023. She is a survivor of childhood mental and physical abuse, experiences that shaped her attachment patterns and her early need for hyper-independence. In 2023, she began a spiritual deep dive that reconnected her with the natural rhythms of the universe and awakened her Clair senses.

 

Nakiya believes that coaching is most powerful when both coach and client feel energetically aligned. She welcomes anyone into her practice - but she honors the importance of choosing each other with intention.
